Historical Agreement Signed between SUN USA & SUN Haiti for Launching School in Haiti SUN USA will launch a Model School for Women in Port Au Prince, Haiti


New York: Nov 16th, 2010:-   SUN Charity USA Spokesman; New York; November 14, 2010: SUN Charity USA and AFASDA (SUN Haiti) have reached to an agreement according to which the SUN USA will establish a model school for women in Port Au Prince, Haiti. The agreement was signed in a signing ceremony held at a local restaurant in New York that was attended by the office-bearers, workers, and volunteers of Sun USA along with the elites from the Pakistani community, medial personnel, and office-bearers and workers of SUN Haiti. The Chairman SUN USA Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, on behalf of SUN USA and the Administrator SUN Haiti Mr. Jean Paul Edmond, on behalf of SUN Haiti signed this agreement. According to this agreement, SUN USA will launch a technical education model school in the capital of Haiti, Port Au Prince for women who have lost their husbands, brothers, and sons in the recent devastating earthquake of Haiti and want to stand on their feet, and for the youth.

The agreement also stipulates that SUN USA will sponsor the curriculum, computer systems, machinery, and technical expertise, while the SUN Haiti will be responsible for the selection of the location, recruitment of the staff, and the enrollment of the prospective students. SUN USA and Sun Haiti are closely working with various agencies of United Nations in several welfare and rehabilitation projects, and that’s where SUN Haiti came to know about the model school SUN Academy launched by SUN in Karachi, and requested SUN USA for launching the same type of model school in their country. Initially the school will provide computer education, and later on the curriculum and the faculties will be added for more departments and other model school will also be established at various cities of Haiti. Prior to this agreement, SUN USA and SUN Haiti have also reached another agreement in Washington DC for collaborative human efforts in rehabilitation of the earthquake victims in Haiti and since then SU USA is sending human aid to Haiti on regular basis.

In the meantime the Chairman SUN USA Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has declared this agreement a historical agreement where the two organizations are embarking on the educational front in the human service. The Executive Director SUN USA Ibad Rehman  has also congratulated the two sides and the team members of SUN USA working on this project and has said that with this SUN is entering into the better half of the continent of America. Ibad Rehman also said that this project may truly be termed “Empowerment through Education” at its essence.
